Our Philosophy

Shibui Studio approaches glassware as part of a hospitality environment rather than a standalone object. Every design begins with the atmosphere of a space—its materials, light, rhythm, and the experience it is intended to create.

Through 360° full-wrap design, each piece is developed to feel integrated within its surroundings, quietly contributing to the visual and sensory identity of the guest experience. The result is glassware that belongs within a space rather than simply resting upon the table.

The Founder

Shibui Studio grew from a career centered on pattern, color, and the belief that beauty belongs in the objects people interact with every day.

What began as digital painting, exhibited in galleries and art festivals, evolved into surface pattern design for luxury accessories—developing visual language that gives an object character long before it is touched.

Glassware became a natural extension of that work. Its ability to carry pattern through light, movement, and interaction revealed a new canvas: one experienced not only visually, but through the simple act of holding it.

Collaboration

Shibui Studio collaborates with hospitality interior designers from the earliest stages of a project, developing glassware in response to atmosphere rather than selecting it after the design is complete.

Every collaboration begins by understanding the character of a space—its materials, lighting, rhythm, and the experience it is meant to create. From there, design evolves through conversation, exploration, and refinement until the glass feels naturally integrated within the environment.

The Signature Finish

Every 360° full-wrap design is printed directly onto professional-grade glassware using UV-cured inks that create a smooth, enamel-like finish rich in color, depth, and tactile presence.

The finish is designed to respond beautifully to changing light while preserving the visual continuity of the artwork from every angle.

Each piece is hand-washed to preserve its appearance over time—a care standard consistent with the premium glassware it accompanies.
